SUBS Must be paid when due - at the AGM in July COSTUMES Members must be prepared to supply, make/get made, alter and adjust when required. Where possible we try to use costumes from our costume store. SCRIPTS Supplied free of charge MUSIC Supplied free of charge REHEARSALS Please attend when requested, you are part of the whole production, and rehearsals are disrupted when players are missing. SOCIAL EVENTS Obviously, not all events are to your choice, but we would like you to join in with some of the things we arrange. Unity prides itself on being a very friendly group, and we would like to keep this ambience. SCENERY All members should be prepared to help with scenery painting and construction. These normally take place on a Saturday are are great fun. AUDITIONS All members are welcome to audition for every production providing subs have been paid. You should also consider your commitment to rehearsals before auditioning. GET INS/OUTS Our productions belong to us. The get in and get out need as much help as possible. Not only do we have to collect our scenery from St Marks storage and help load the van for delivery to the theatre, we then have to unload the other end and build the set. In the case of the panto, this also entails rigging all the bars and pulleys etc to hang the backcloths and curtains, clearing the scenery dock and making it suitable for a dressing room, building the stage, laying the floor covering on the stage and a hundred and one other small jobs. Without the help of as many people as possible we could not put our shows on. Just a couple of hours will help. PUBLICITY Again, we all like to perform to an audience, so your help is needed to sell tickets, take posters to shops for display, and help with leaflet distribution.CHARITY COMMITTEE The committee exists to run the Group for you, to sort out productions, venues, audiences and all the other jobs involved in running a thriving drama group. The current committee would welcome new members, their new input would help the Group to go forward. CHILDREN Although we are not set up to be a youth group, we welcome the children of members and hope they will be the members of the future. We must however, ask members to take full responsibility for their children, during rehearsals and performances, & if you have a principal role, to ensure that your child is supervised by an adult not in the production. MEMBERS Unity belongs to the members, as such, you are at liberty to make any suggestions relating to productions, social events, fund raising or any other matter. The committee runs the Group for you, but would like to run the Group as you would like it.
